One of the most beautiful places on Earth may be the most deadly. Serving as a yardstick for the worlds dramatically evolving environmental issues, significant changes to the climate in Antarctica are having measureable effects to its own geography and wildlife. This program will provide audiences with a rare and breathtaking glimpse of the Earth's most undiscovered continent. We look at these environmental issues through the experiences of a dedicated group of research scientists stationed in a remote outpost. Through them we will investigate the reasons for these drastic changes to our planet - close-up and first hand.
