Description

All life forms on Earth are made up of cells whether a single cell organism or a multi-billion cell organism like a fully grown Oak tree. Cell Theory states that all organisms are made up of cells and the products of cells. This program looks at the history of cells, from when they were first seen in 1665 by Robert Hook during the Black Plague, to the components of what makes up a cell, the roles that each organelle within the cell plays and how they relate to each other. Cell structures are explained along with prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells.
