This program introduces the notion that matter is made of particles and a simple model is established, using observation and inference, useful in describing and explaining many of the observations we make about matter. The particle model helps us understand a host of phenomena including the relation between solids, liquids and gases, expansion and contraction, changes in state, fluids, diffusion, pressure, wind and atmosphere, as well as many things about chemical reactions, i.e.Stacking - crystals, angles and ionic radii. In part two, the Particle Model of Matter was established using gases as they respond in easily observable ways to changes we make to them.
