What is it really like to be a young Sudanese in Australia today? Behind the headlines and rigid media pomp lies a passionate, complex and very human story. Step By Step' is that story. In this acclaimed film we get to know some of the young Sudanese in Melbourne, in particular the A-MCs, a group of Sudanese school-aged boys who write and perform hip hop music, and Jungle City Massive, a group of young Sudanese school aged girls who perform hip hop dance.
