Description

Ernest Hemingway is one of the most recognised writers of our time. Starting out as a journalist and war correspondent in the 20's in Paris after serving, and being injured in the 1st World War, Hemingway wrote his first novel The Sun Also Rises. Hemingway produced most of his work between the mid 1920s and the mid 1950s, though a number of unfinished works were published posthumously. This revealing program highlights Hemingway's distinctive writing style, and how it's characterised by economy and understatement, and how he had a significant influence on the development of twentieth-century fiction writing.
