Description

Equilibrium 2 begins with an overview of the basic concepts of chemical equilibrium: reversible reactions, Le Chatelier's principle, the equilibrium law and calculating K. It also looks at how conditions in a reaction, other than temperature, can be changed and the consequences of a change in conditions. We examine how K changes when increasing and decreasing the temperature of exothermic reactions and endothermic reactions. Several problems are posed for viewer consideration. Finally, the industrial manufacture of sulphuric acid is explored and how the concepts of equilibrium apply.
