Description

Isaac Newton's Law of Universal Gravitation explains why all bodies near the surface of the earth fall with the same constant acceleration. It explains why the apple, but not the moon, falls from the sky, a discovery that ironically enabled us to eventually escape from the earth itself. This excellent program demonstrates how Newton, seeking an explanation for Kepler's laws, discovered that gravity describes the force between any two particles in the universe.
