Description

Since man first set out from the coast by boat, he has endeavoured to find new lands and successfully map existing ones. Once the continents were mapped, scientists turned their attention to continental drift and how they came to be where they are. In this interview based program we examine the way the question of how the continents originally fitted together was finally answered, and see how in 1965, John Tuzo Wilson supplied the final piece of the puzzle necessary to the development of the plate tectonics paradigm, which had its roots in Wegener's 1912 theory of continental drift.
