Description

Since the introduction of the Workplace Relations Act 1996, Australia has operated under a decentralised system of industrial relations, aimed at maximising productivity of the Australian labour market. In March of 2006, the Federal Government introduced the Workplace Relations Amendment (Work Choices) Act. This program explores the changes that have come about under the Work Choices legislation and the impact of these changes on employees in small and large businesses, trade unions and employers. Giving students a well rounded and in-depth insight into the topic, this program is essential for all students who are not only studying industrial relations, but all those who will enter in the workplace and be no doubt affected by these amendments in one way or another.
