Training for individual sports have undergone significant changes in the past decade. Building a good aerobic base, once seen as an essential aspect of training during pre-season has been shown by sport-scientists to be counter-productive. With the aid of Colin Chapman, Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Melbourne Kestrels, and Lindy Murphy, author of Train for Success, this program covers the principles and practice behind the design of a modern fitness training program for the game of netball. The program is divided into two 20 minute parts. Part one explores the steps involved in designing a training program. Part two examines a sample training program.
