Staying in your own home is the aim of most elderly residents, but for most there is no way that they can see how this can happen. That is where the rehabilitative care giver comes in. The goal of rehabilitative nursing is not just care-taking, but teaching and reinforcing so that the resident can live as independently as possible. We investigate why optimal wellness is critical regardless of disability or disease and the difference that this can make to a patient. This program also reviews how to work with patients who have limited mobility including procedures for moving a patient and the importance of promoting self-care with the help of adaptive devices.
